Anastasia Shevchenko

Anastasia Shevchenko has practiced yoga for the past 16 years ever since she moved from Ukraine to Canada. She’s created her own blend of a breath-centered yoga she calls "Soulful Ashtanga Flow" that she infuses with the concepts from various philosophical and spiritual traditions, as well as findings from the fields of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Quantum mechanics.

Anastasia Shevchenko is also the founder and the managing director behind the Berlin Yoga Conference. Her special interest lies in the creation of bridges between yoga, philosophy, science, art, and spirituality. She is based in Berlin but happy to teach yoga around the world.

Heart-Opening Dynamic Flow, Friday, August 2nd 10:00 - 11:30, Main Stage  

Join Anastasia Shevchenko, the founder of the Berlin Yoga Conference, for a heart-opening dynamic flow made of the mixture of Ashtanga & Hatha Yoga, intertwined with the ideas from various studies on Consciousness, with some practical life and body hacks and a strong focus on the breath.

Prepare to go into back bends and shoulder openers, focusing on mobilising the upper (thoracic) spine, generally the most inflexible and stiff area of the vertebra. You will leave the class feeling energized and pleasantly open for the rest of the day. All levels welcome, as there will be plenty of variations offered!

Fooling Around on Your Arms, Saturday, August 3rd, 8:15 - 10:00, Upseerikerhon juhlasali

Join Anastasia Shevchenko, the founder of the Berlin Yoga Conference, for a heart-opening dynamic flow made of the mixture of Ashtanga & Hatha Yoga, intertwined with the ideas from various studies on Consciousness, with some practical life and body hacks and a strong focus on the breath. What awaits is a powerful core-focused flow to build the strength in preparation for various arm balances progressing from beginner to advanced levels and plenty of variations to try out. There will be some partner activity and work in groups, followed by a series of postures to calm down fully and relax deeply.
